Our Heritage

1928

A Dream Takes Shape

In the twilight of the silent era, visionary exhibitor Samuel Goldstein opened the first Yes Cinema on Broadway, declaring "Yes to artistry, Yes to spectacle, Yes to the future of motion pictures."

1935

The Golden Age Arrives

As Hollywood entered its golden age, Yes Cinema expanded to four magnificent palaces, each an architectural masterpiece designed to make moviegoing an event worthy of the silver screen's greatest stars.

1952

Television's Challenge

While others abandoned elegance for economy, Yes Cinema doubled down on the theatrical experience. We installed larger screens, better sound, and maintained our commitment to presentation excellence.

1978

Preservation Over Demolition

When multiplexes threatened to erase cinema history, Yes Cinema chose a different path: restoration. We saved our palaces from demolition and preserved them as living monuments to film's golden era.

2010

A New Generation

Under new stewardship, Yes Cinema committed exclusively to classic film exhibition. We acquired rare prints, restored our 35mm projectors, and became a sanctuary for cinema's greatest achievements.

Today

The Eternal "Yes"

Every night at Yes Cinema, audiences discover why movies were once called "dreams." In our palaces, the golden age never ended—it simply waits for you to take your seat.

"We don't show old movies. We show eternal ones." — The Yes Cinema Promise
